Parental Involvement Is Key
November 21, 2021

Educational researchers debate what factors make for a meaningful education. Is it class size? Quality materials? Technology? Discussions go on and on.

Still, there are two factors that most everyone agrees are central in generating quality learning opportunities. The first is quality teachers. This blog has shown many examples of this factor in Dominican Episcopal schools. The second is parental involvement — having parents support and contribute to their children’s school experience. I would argue that a school cannot be excellent without engaging parents in their children’s learning.

I’ll get right to my example of parental involvement in Episcopal colegios. It’s a photo of a standing-room-only parent meeting that speaks for itself.
