Episcopal colegios across the Dominican Republic take civic and values education very seriously. The school day begins with the singing of the national anthem, a flag raising ceremony and reciting the Dominican pledge of allegiance. Teachers take their obligation to provide a values-laden education very seriously.

So, Diocesan colegios place great emphasis on celebrating El Dia de la Patria (Day of Our Homeland). Teaching methods are interactive and engaging, often involving music presentations, role plays and creative writing.
